Rebuilding the trust – demonstrating Bosnian excellence and creativity. Helping diaspora seize the opportunity and bring their business back home.
For the sixth year in a row, Restart.ba, in partnership with USAID project Diaspora Invest, is organizing a networking event that aims to connect entrepreneurs from the diaspora and BiH, and preserve lasting ties with the Bosnian diaspora. By sharing knowledge and best practices we will help create opportunities for development of BiH economy and help local companies grow internationally.
Restart will bring together a roster of speakers made up of successful experts in BiH. The focus of this year’s Reconnect conference is:
- Female entrepreneurship
- Personal business success stories from BiH
- Tradeshow-style presentation of successful companies from BiH
Our panelists will prove that even in the most difficult conditions, across different industries, with limited capabilities, resources and access to capital, it is possible to make a positive and successful business story. Our participants and partners, from all business spheres, will present the ways in which they underwent transformation or adaptation to the difficult business conditions in the past year, caused by the COVID 19 pandemic.

Our keynote speakers and panelists will share their personal struggles to overcome obstacles and prejudices and succeed in a very challenging Bosnian business landscape. Female and other young entrepreneurs are shifting the narrative, mentality and perception of doing business in BiH. It is important to show how their grit, out of the box thinking and persistence directly impacted business development and growth in general in BiH in the last 5 years, and that there is much hope and potential both for future generations in BiH, and diaspora to learn, connect and thrive.
